Editorial Standards

The principles that govern our reporting, sourcing, corrections, commercial relationships, image rights, property information, and responsible use of AI.

Accuracy and sourcing

Material claims should be supported by identified, authoritative sources. Property details, attribution, credentials, affiliations, and quotations require verification before publication.

Corrections

Substantive errors are corrected promptly. Meaningful updates receive an updated date or correction note.

Independence and conflicts

Editorial judgment remains separate from sales. Sponsored content, advertiser-supported series, paid profiles, affiliate links, and property marketing are labeled.

Photography and rights

Every visual record must identify its creator, rights holder, permission basis, credit, source, restrictions, and expiration when applicable.

AI-assisted work

AI may support research organization, editing, accessibility, or production, but it must not invent facts, people, quotations, credentials, affiliations, or sources. A responsible editor reviews publishable work.
