Choose the future surface
Samples should be evaluated not only when pristine, but after abrasion, water, sunlight, and ordinary handling. The right question is less “Will this change?” than “Will I value the way it changes?”

Graceful aging still requires stewardship. Clear care instructions, realistic household expectations, and access to repair expertise belong in the specification from the beginning.
